Who Is Rama?

Rama is a central figure in Hinduism and is considered to be an incarnation of the god Vishnu. He is the hero of the Hindu epic Ramayana, which tells the story of his life, and is one of the most widely revered and popular deities in Hinduism.

According to the Ramayana, Rama was the eldest son of King Dasharatha of Ayodhya and was known for his devotion to dharma (duty, morality) and his strong sense of justice. Rama is also revered for his devotion to his parents and his wife. He is considered to be an ideal son, brother, husband, and king. He is often depicted holding a bow and arrows, and is associated with the festival of Navaratri, which is celebrated in his honor.

Rama's life and story is considered to be a moral lesson for all and is also seen as a way to understand and connect with the divine. Rama is also considered as the embodiment of the perfect human being, with all the virtues of a leader, a warrior, a family man and an individual.
