Update On Sammy Guevara’s Status Following Eddie Kingston’s AEW Suspension

There has been some clarification on Sammy's status subsequent to Eddie Kingston's AEW suspension.

A previous report confirmed that Eddie Kingston had performed a suspension following a backstage dispute with Sammy Guevara. Kingston reportedly had an exception to something Guevara said in an unpromoted promo, conducting a quarrel with him.



Similarly to Wrestling Observer Radio, it was assured by Dave Meltzer that the suspension is now come to end, and Sammy Guevara didn't suspend under that altercation.

“They had a confrontation a couple of weeks ago. Eddie Kingston was suspended, the suspension is (now) over. And that’s largely it."

“I know… I’m gonna get myself in trouble but… I’ll just say this… Eddie said I can say, so this is not what I would get in trouble over, but Eddie said that I can say – sometimes he does things that he shouldn’t, and he was sorry, and he owns up to it."



“I don’t know if Eddie Kingston and Sammy are on the pay-per-view. It hasn’t been mentioned. They haven’t been mentioned. Sammy was not suspended. There’s been no hint of where Sammy fits on the show, obviously, they had announced Sammy and Eddie for the pay-per-view and have not followed up on it."

“It was scheduled for the pay-per-view, but I don’t know that it’s on the pay-per-view (anymore). I don’t know what’s going on, and I don’t know that anyone knows what’s going on.”

Eddie Kingston wrestled his barbed wire match against Chris Jericho on the July 20 Dynamite: Fyter Fest Week 2 show. And the other side, Guevara wrestled his last match on the August 12 edition of Rampage, where he teamed with Tay Melo to defend the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship against Dante Martin & Skye Blue.
