UFC 261 Result: Valentina Shevchenko vs. Jéssica Andrade Full Fight, Winner
Jacksonville April 24, 2021: Here is the full result of a UFC Women's Flyweight Championship fight between Valentina Shevchenko (c) vs. Jéssica Andrade.
First Round: The First Round of Valentina Shevchenko (c) vs. Jéssica Andrade kicks off with A high kick attempt from Andrade, high kick landed for Valentina Shevchenko, the crowd was cheering for Valentina Shevchenko. Andrade was looking so quick, meanwhile a Takedown for Valentina Shevchenko, Andrade back to her feet immediately, but Valentina Shevchenko once again with a Takedown.
Valentina Shevchenko made three consecutive Takedowns followed by a high kick, Andrade fired back and pummeled her around the cage, Andrade with a clinch against the fence, a nice transition from Valentina Shevchenko, apparently landing a Takedown. Valentina Shevchenko with a Chin lock, Andrade was able to get out of it, Valentina Shevchenko blistered some knees. Andrade tried to separate with some elbows. Valentina Shevchenko was still holding the clinch. Another Takedown for Valentina Shevchenko, this was number 5 for Valentina Shevchenko as the round ended.
Second Round: Valentina Shevchenko opened up the second round with a Takedown, making it her sixth Takedown of the fight, Andrade needed to power back in order to win the fight. Andrade back to her feet, holding a clinch against the fence.
A thought fight, Valentina Shevchenko with another Takedown. Looked like the fight was almost over with those Takedowns, Valentina Shevchenko fired up with those elbows and punches to the head as Andrade was down. The referee stopped the fight with Valentina Shevchenko retaining the belt.
She wins via 2nd round TKO after some brutal elbows in crucifix.
