The actor-filmmaker, who made his debut as a lead hero with the new-age romantic comedy Love Today in 2022, has now achieved a rare feat, which probably no one had before — three consecutive blockbusters in as many films. His latest outing, Dude, continues to dominate the box office, reaffirming his golden touch.

It all began with Love Today, which struck a strong chord with youth audiences for its relatable story and modern take on relationships. The film went on to become a massive blockbuster, grossing around 84 crores worldwide — a staggering figure for a debutant actor. Pradeep not only headlined the film but also directed it, proving his versatility early in his career.

He followed that success with Dragon, a coming-of-age comedy-drama that released earlier this year. The film exceeded all expectations, emerging as one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of 2025 with collections crossing 150 crores worldwide. With its emotional depth and youthful energy, Dragon cemented Pradeep's position as a crowd favourite.

Now, Dude has turned the actor's success streak into a perfect hat-trick. Currently in its second week, the film has already grossed over 100 crores worldwide and continues to hold strong at the box office. With two 100 crore grossers among his first three films, Pradeep Ranganathan has set a new benchmark for young actors — becoming the first in Tamil cinema to achieve such success so early in his career.

The young sensation has one more release to close the year. Director Vignesh Shivan's science fiction romantic comedy, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), is scheduled to release on December 18, 2025. The buzz for the film is good, with promos released so far receiving big thumbs up from viewers.
