Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan Records Massive 325+ Crore Pre-Business

Chennai, November 10 - Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming political action thriller Jana Nayagan, which is also going to be his last movie, is creating waves in the trade. With 2 months to go for release, the film has already set the trade on fire with one of the biggest pre-release businesses.

According to Tamil trade reports, the film's Tamil Nadu theatrical business has been locked for 105 crores, while the overseas rights have reportedly fetched around 80 crores. The audio rights were sold for 35 crore, and the digital streaming rights have brought in 110 crore by Amazon Prime Video, taking the total pre-business figure over 325+ crore so far.

The final pre-release business of Jana Nayagan is expected to reach 400 crores as satellite and other area rights are yet to be locked. It will be among the movies with the biggest pre-release business (theatrical+non-theatrical).

Directed by H Vinoth, produced by KVN Productions, and featuring Vijay in a powerful lead role, Jana Nayagan has been one of the most awaited Tamil films of the year. The buzz around its music, massive scale, and emotional core has further amplified anticipation among fans and trade alike.

Intended to be the final film appearance of Vijay before his political entry, Jana Nayagan also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol (Tamil debut), Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani in prominent roles. It is scheduled to release on January 9, 2026, in Tamil and Telugu.
