Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan Reconfirms Release Date Amid Postponement Rumours

Chennai, November 6 - Thalapathy Vijay has been at the centre of media headlines for the past few weeks for various reasons. The chatter around him also sparked rumours that his upcoming action drama film Jana Nayagan, which is supposed to be his last movie, has been postponed from January 9, 2026.

While the makers kept mum on the rumours, it was reported that the film might be shifted to the summer of 2026. But now, the team has confirmed that the movie is coming on January 9, 2026, as scheduled, and the promotion for the same will kick off with the first single.

On Thursday, the makers took to social media to announce that the first single from Jana Nayagan will be released on November 8, and with this, they have reconfirmed the release date. Despite the hiccups, the makers are confident that the film will be ready for Pongal release without any delay.

Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, the movie stars Vijay, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in the lead roles, alongside Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani. The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
