Spoiler For Upcoming Roman Reigns’ WWE Opponents
Per reports, Riddle, Randy Orton, and Drew McIntyre are being considered as the next strong opponents for Roman Reigns heading into Money in the Bank (July 2), SummerSlam (July 30), and Clash at the Castle (September 3).
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while none of these plans are locked in, there is talk of Reigns wrestling the aforementioned opponents at the three WWE Premium Live Events.
The first summer TV Reigns was announced for was 7/25 in Madison Square Garden, which is the go-home Raw for SummerSlam. Reigns will be appearing on TV’s to build those three matches and has also been announced for the 7/22 Smackdown in Boston and 8/19 Smackdown in Montreal.”
Reigns reportedly signed a new WWE deal that would allow for him to work fewer dates on his schedule, but WWE could always add Reigns to more TV dates in the lead-up to the three big stadium shows. For the time being, The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is slated for several bouts and appearances throughout the summer.
At Payback, Reigns defeated defending champion The Fiend and Strowman to win the Universal Championship for the second time. Since then, no one is able to dethrone The Tribal Chief. At WrestleMania 38, he pinned Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship for the fourth time and also became the first superstar to hold both the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship simultaneously.
