Roman Reigns Reacts To Triple H's Retirement
Triple H retiring as a wrestler was one of the most shocking news in recent days. On March 25, 2022, Levesque gave his first interview since being hospitalized. Speaking with ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, Levesque said that he had viral pneumonia and his lungs were inflamed, which worsened over time.
The doctors informed him that his heart was working at a fraction of full strength and he was in "bad" heart failure. He confirmed that this forced him to retire from wrestling and he will never wrestle again.
As noted, Universal Champion Roman Reigns appeared on "The Tonight Show" With Jimmy Fallon. During the talk, Roman was asked about Triple H's retirement as a wrestler.
"You know, Triple H was very critical in this process to guide me along. He was kind of before I met Vince and built a relationship with him. It was Triple H. He was the one that was down there and developmental help and guided Talent along. You know, he's the one that kind of overlooked and before."
"There's like the minor leagues of you know, WWE and before and now it's NXT and that's a big platform for us, you know, they're on you know, Tuesday nights on USA Network and they're a big show themselves now, but before that it was just called FCW (Florida championship wrestling) in a tiny little warehouse and we're wrestling in front with it was like those are memories and in the high school gyms in front of 50 people killing each other for you know, and what felt like nothing at the time but yeah Triple H was huge and guiding me along.
Jimmy asked if he had faith in him using like this kid going to do something; "I think so. Yeah. I think he recognized the potential and and he was just Always good to be I early on I was always a type, you know that was asking for raises. I was like, can I get some more money? They like? Yeah, go ahead and can I get two months later? Can I get some more money? Yep, and then there was a point where they're like, no and then I was like, well, can you ask Triple H and then the next morning you get more money. So, Yeah, Triple H always looked me up. He's always looked over me. I don't forget that inside and out the ring. He's the best.
