Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 Release Date Revealed

Mumbai, November 17 - Director Aditya Dhar's much-awaited Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, is reportedly turning into a two-part saga, with part 1 scheduled to release on December 5, 2025. Originally envisioned as a single-part film, the spy actioner is now reportedly being split into two parts due to huge potential.

According to the reports, the makers have shot for nearly 7 hours of footage, and the makers reportedly feel each footage is important in the context of the story. Understanding the importance, Jio Studios and Aditya Dhar have made a last-minute decision to release the film in two parts, abandoning the original plan for a single 3-hour-30-minute film.

Meanwhile, according to the reports, the makers have already locked a summer 2026 release for Dhurandhar 2, most likely on May 29. It is said that the decision to bring the film in two parts was a natural choice, as it is an ambitious story made on a massive scale, hence splitting it into two films made narrative sense.

Dhurandhar Part 1 edit has reportedly locked with runtime clocking to around 3 hours. The pre-production for part 2 is also underway. The decision to turn the film into a franchise is also seen as a strategic move, given its huge budget and box office potential.

Inspired by the incredible true events, set in the gritty criminal vein of underworld with a backdrop of Indian patriotism, featuring action sequences, Shakespearean betrayals, and tradecrafts of espionage, the movie stars an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, alongside Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in supporting roles.
