List of Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh
India has 28 states and 8 Union territories as of April 2021 in this country. Arunachal Pradesh is the largest of the Seven Sister States of Northeast Indian state. Arunachal Pradesh is the Fourteenth largest state by area and Twenty-seven state by population. Itanagar is the state capital of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh is the chief executive of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh which is appointed by a state’s governor. The chief minister is the leader of the state Legislative assembly. They would be the chief adviser to the nominal head of their respected state. All new principal announcements of policy are made by him on the floor of the house. The Chief Minister supervises and coordinates the policies of the several Ministers involved in the formulation and implementation of a policy and department. For removal of ministers governor is depend on chief minister because governor can’t remove/dismiss ministers at his will. The Chief Minister has a free hand in preparing the list of his colleagues and also he may ask anyone of his colleagues to resign.
Arunachal Pradesh has a one legislature house and chamber, the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly has 60 seats, headed by a speaker. Arunachal Pradesh sends 2 members to the Lok Sabha and 1 member to the Rajya Sabha. The Chief Minister heads the executive, which is made up of the party or coalition elected with a majority in the legislature. Chief minister guide and control the activity of other ministers. The maximum term serves of chief minister is for five years and is subject to no term limits. The first chief minister formed was on 13 August 1975.
