Kartik Aaryan Set To Start Creature Comedy Naagzilla: A Big Update Revealed

Mumbai, October 27 - Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for a busy schedule in 2026 with back-to-back releases. The actor, who was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 last year, has Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Anurag Basu's Tu Meri Zindagi Hai in production, and is now set to start his first creature comedy film.

In April 2025, Kartik teamed with producers Karan Johar and Mahaveer Jain for Naagzilla. Directed by Fukrey fame Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the film was announced for an August 14, 2026, release. As per the latest report by Pinkvilla, the movie is set to start filming on November 1.

It is said that Kartik Aaryan did a photoshoot recently in a Mumbai studio, marking the beginning of his creature-comedy. The actor will be seen playing Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag in the movie, which is the first of its kind big-screen tentpole.

Produced under the banner of Mahavir Jain Films and Dharma Productions, the makers aim to turn Naagzilla into a franchise, depending on the box office reception the first film gets. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced, but reports suggest Ravi Kishan will be playing a key role.

Meanwhile, Kartik's immediate next is Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, co-starring Ananya Panday. Also produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Sameer Vidhwans, the film is scheduled to release on December 31st, 2025.
