Ayushmann Khurran, Rashmika Mandanna's Thamma Budget Revealed

Mumbai, October 17 - Maddock Films' vampire comedy Thamma is gearing up to hit the big screens on October 21 amid huge anticipation. The movie, starring Ayushmann Khurran, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiuie, is carrying solid buzz, and is expected to be a big Diwali blockbuster.

Directed by Munjya fame Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma is reportedly the costliest film in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. According to Bollywood Hungama, the budget of the film is around 125 crores, excluding print and publicity.

It is said that the VFX companies of international repute have worked on the film, which has been made on a huge scale. The final budget of Thamma is expected to be around 150 crores, which makes it the costliest film in MHCU, beating Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao's Stree 2 (125 crores).

Producer Dinesh Vijan is confident that Thamma will be a big blockbuster this Diwali, and has bet big on Ayushmann and Rashmika to bring in the audience in large numbers. Luckily, the movie will not have a major competition, apart from Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which is releasing on the same day amid decent buzz.
