A Film Based On Galwan Valley Clash Is In The Works
Mumbai, April 24 - A film based on the Galwan Valley Clash is officially in development.
Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia has acquired the rights of a chapter from the book, titled "India's Most Fearless 3" for the big screen adaptation. The chapter focuses on the events that took place between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan region in 2020.
The book, written by journalists Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, narrates the brave story of the Indian Army during the deadly clash with Chinese troops on 15-16 June 2020. During the clash, the Indian Army fought bravely and caused China heavy casualties, but, unfortunately, 20 Indian soldiers also lost their lives.
The story-screenplay will be adapted for the film by Suresh Nair in association with Chintan Gandhi who will also pen the dialogues. The other details about the cast and crew are not finalized yet.
Meanwhile, in July 2020, Ajay Devgn in association with Select Media Holdings LLP also announced the film on the Galwan Clash. However, there hasn't been any development happened since then, and now, it is believed to be got shelved.
